1. European Union

2. National General Secretariat for Research and Technology (GSRT), Hellenic Institute for Occupational Health and the National Ministry of Health

  • Pathogenesis of Myelodysplastic Syndromes in relation to occupational and environmental exposures: Molecular cytogenetic and genotypic studies.
  • Karyotypic analysis of interphase cells using multicolor FISH in Prematurely Condensed Chromosomes: A new methodology for the cytogenetic study of preleukemic and leukemic disorders.
  • Development and standardization of a methodology for the evaluation of health effects after combined chemical exposure.
  • Development of new methods for biomonitoring of workers exposed to chemical genotoxic agents.
  • AKMON «Laboratory of Radiation Protection, NCSR “Demokritos”, “Upgrade of services in the field of cytogenetic analysis of myelodysplastic syndromes”.
 

3. European Union Collaborating Projects

  • 2007 - 2009    «3D BIOLAB-3D LAB support system for biology teaching/ learning». Reference Code Number: 590. International Jury awarded our 3dbiolab project with Comenius EduMedia Seal of Approval what proves that our project is in accordance with standards for didactical and multimedia products.
 

4. In collaboration with the University of Athens

  • 2010-    “Oral disorders in cancer patients based on their radiosensitivity as quantified by means of the new modified G2-chromosomal radiosensitivity assay” funding from National & Kapodestrian University of Athens in collaboration with the Dental School, University of Athens.
  • 2012-    THALIS. Basic and applied research scientific grant which is co-funded from European Union “Clinicopathological characteristics and genetics of Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC)” in collaboration with the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece and of National Hellenic Research Foundation (Athens, Greece).
  • 2012-    THALIS. Basic and applied research scientific grant which is co-funded from European Union “Breast cancer stem cells resistance mechanisms in genotoxic insults: Application in diagnosis, personalized treatment strategies and prognosis of disease progression”, in collaboration with the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece and of National Hellenic Research Foundation (Athens, Greece).
