The Health Physics, radiobiology & Cytogenetics Laboratory has research facilities for cell biology, cytogenetics and molecular biology studies. The lab infrastructure includes tissue culture rooms, classical and molecular cytogenetic and chromosome analysis rooms. It is fully equipped with Class 2 cell and tissue culture facilities, eight optical microscopes, two fluorescence microscopes, nine semiautomatic karyotyping systems (Ikaros, Metasystems Co.) and three FISH image analysis system (ISIS, Metasystems Co.) It has real time and quantitative PCR, flow cytometer and scintillation counter. Complementary irradiation facilities are also available such as radiation sources, γ-irradiators and X-ray generators.
